Amina of Zazzau Warrior Tee
The Walls Still Stand Five Hundred Years Later.
$40.00
Before there were borders drawn by colonial hands, Queen Amina of Zazzau was already building her own. In the 16th century, she rode out at the head of a 20,000 strong cavalry and turned the city state of Zazzau into a military powerhouse that dominated the Hausa trade routes for over three decades.
This warrior tee captures Amina in her element. The front design features a painterly portrait of the queen in profile, draped in woven cloth and adorned with cowrie shell braids and gold jewelry, spear raised, with the fortified walls of Zazzau rising behind her. The gold lettering declares her title: Queen of Zazzau. Warrior. Builder of Walls. The back design shows Amina from behind, looking over her shoulder in full warrior stance, ready to defend what she conquered.
She did not inherit her throne. She earned it on the battlefield. She did not ask for territory. She took it. And she did not leave behind stories alone. She left behind walls that still stand.
This tee is for those who build, protect, and refuse to wait for permission.
